Matthew didn't make it through the whole park playdate today. He was ready to go home early, which was fine with me, but Daniel was a little disappointed.
We are still seeing signs that the trip to Nana and Papaws is still with us. They have a wonderful time, but it takes a good week to get 'back-to-normal'. I hope our trip this weekend doesn't throw off their schedule/routine so much that they can't recover completely.
Things like 'out of character' meltdowns, being tired at unusual times of day, and a small amount of being generally spoiled and getting their own way are symptoms from both a day with Gram, Aunt Melissa, Annie/Uncle Moo, and Nana & Papaw. After a week, those things go back to being rare... but for a week or so it is helpful to remember that they are 'in recovery'.
